Nearly a year has passed since the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, and it is still difficult to fully process the events of that painful Saturday, October 7.
The brutal massacre carried out by terrorists against the residents of the south left us deeply shaken, with unbearable grief, pain, and sorrow. Like many in Israeli society, we at Empowering Ethiopian Women joined the national effort and set up a support center to help the residents of the south and IDF soldiers.

Through joint efforts, we continued meaningful action to strengthen unity within Israeli society. For this work, the organization received recognition from President Isaac Herzog.
We send our love to the bereaved families, pray for the recovery of the wounded, and for the safe return of the hostages.

We left energized and deeply fulfilled.

02

Laughter

Since October 7, we’ve all been going through a difficult and uncertain time. So we decided to take a moment for ourselves to breathe, reflect, let go, share, laugh, and do something good for our well-being.
We invited the amazing Lamalaklin Masako from Psychodrama and Laughter Workshops for a powerful session that left us all with positive energy.

03

Inspiration and Empowerment

We experienced a powerful session of self-love, breaking inner barriers, and gaining tools for success with the inspiring and dynamic Hana Reuven, who redefined the word “inspiration.”
There was instant connection and energy between Hana and the women, and based on the feedback, each participant left with a meaningful and personal insight.

04

Traditional Cooking

In the workshop, we explored the meaning of shared meals, community, and of course learned how to prepare traditional dishes and bucho. Each participant left with her own handmade bucho, and we ended with a generous shared meal. Afterward, we held a traditional buna ceremony with authentic music.
