Emergency Aid & Assistance

• Locating and reconnecting soldiers and civilians injured on October 7 and hospitalized without identification with their families, who had no information about their fate.

• The Ashkelon absorption center was quickly evacuated to the north and faced challenges in providing Ethiopian food to new immigrants. The organization stepped in and delivered around 150 Ethiopian meals to support them.

Volunteer Mobilization

• 25 local volunteer communities from Empowering Ethiopian Women mobilized across cities to deliver food to soldiers in the field throughout the country.

• Visits to evacuation centers for displaced families from the Gaza border area.

• Organized activities such as braiding and dance classes for evacuees.

Information & Legal Support

• Free Zoom sessions offering information on rights and benefits for women evacuated from the north and south, led by lawyers specializing in the field.

Resilience & Emotional Wellbeing

• Development of special resilience workshops for women in the south, guided by certified professionals such as social workers and emotional therapists, with cultural sensitivity for women of Ethiopian descent.

• Individual emotional and mental support during the war for any woman in need.

• Group emotional and mental support for groups of over 30 women.

Advocacy & Awareness

• An awareness video calling for the release of the hostages, with dozens of women joining to stand with Israel and demand freedom for all hostages, including Avera Mengistu, who has been held by Hamas for over eight years.
