On March 8, 2022, a special event was held at Hangar 11 for International Women’s Day with around 550 participants. Ten inspiring Israeli women of Ethiopian descent were honored after being selected through a public call.

The selection committee, made up of eight senior women from across industries, reviewed about 110 nominations of women who serve as role models in personal, professional, and social impact.
Empowering Ethiopian Women hopes to make this an annual flagship event.
