Beginner English Course – Round 2

Following the success of the first Beginner English Course, which concluded in July, and after recognizing the vital need for women to learn and practice their English skills in both the dynamic job market and academic world, we launched the second round of the course on November 13, 2022. Built on the positive feedback received from the graduates of the first course and designed especially for the Ethiopian Women Empowerment Association, this new version is longer and more in-depth.

Over 24 Zoom sessions, 17 women will meet to practice proper basic English. The lessons focus on how to ask questions, introduce themselves, make requests, describe actions, and more, with the goal of gaining practical knowledge for everyday life and work, while most importantly building personal confidence to break the English language barrier. After completing the course, each participant will be matched with a mentor who is a native English speaker, allowing them to continue practicing what they learned.
